Who is LG Business Solutions?

LG Electronics launched its commercial CLOi robot line in 2017 out of its Seoul, South Korea robotics division, and has expanded the lineup every year since. In 2024, LG took a majority stake in Bear Robotics, signaling a strategic commitment to commercial service robotics. The CLOi ServeBot delivery robot, GuideBot wayfinding robot, and CarryBot logistics platform anchor the lineup.

Why us

Why we partner with LG

01

A brand procurement already trusts

When a hotel CFO sees LG on the invoice, the conversation is shorter. LG ships millions of commercial displays a year; the robotics line inherits that supply chain and service network.

02

Consumer-electronics build quality

Fit and finish on a CLOi ServeBot is noticeably better than the average service robot. Materials, panel gaps, and screen quality match LG's display business.

03

Now integrated with Bear Robotics

LG's 2024 majority stake in Bear means the CLOi roadmap and the Servi roadmap are aligning. RobotLAB customers benefit from cross-platform feature parity.

Questions & answers

Long-form Q&A: deploying LG CLOi in production

Procurement and operations questions from real LG CLOi deployments.

  1. Is CLOi ServeBot actually worth the premium over Pudu BellaBot?

Depends on the buyer. CLOi costs roughly $2-3K more than BellaBot but lands easier with corporate procurement that already buys LG displays. For independent restaurants, BellaBot is the better dollar. For enterprise hotel chains, CLOi often wins.

  2. Does LG GuideBot replace a concierge?

It augments. GuideBot handles routine wayfinding, hours, and FAQ at a 27-inch touchscreen while the concierge focuses on high-value guest requests. Concierge satisfaction scores typically go up after deployment.

  3. How does CarryBot handle back-of-house freight elevators?

CarryBot integrates with most modern freight elevator controllers, and RobotLAB scopes the integration during the site survey. We have it running in resort kitchens for inter-floor supply runs.

  4. Is the LG screen on CLOi GuideBot really 4K?

Yes. It’s a 27-inch LG commercial display with 4K resolution, which makes brand video loops and inventory imagery look fantastic. This is a real LG advantage.

  5. What languages does CLOi support?

20+ including English, Spanish, French, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, German, Portuguese, and Hindi. Voice and UI are independently configurable per deployment.

  6. Does LG support CLOi in North America directly, or is it through RobotLAB?

RobotLAB is the deployment and service partner; LG provides warranty and engineering escalation. Customers get one number to call and we handle all upstream coordination.

  7. How quiet is CLOi ServeBot at night in a hotel hallway?

About 47 dB at one meter. Quieter than housekeeping carts; guests do not wake up.

  8. Can CLOi work with the same elevator integration as Bear Servi Lift?

Yes, since LG now owns Bear. The combined elevator integration roadmap means a single elevator install can serve both fleets.

  9. What is the CLOi GuideBot ROI for a hotel lobby?

Hard ROI is modest — concierge time saved is real but small. Soft ROI is the brand differentiator: guest social posts and reviews mentioning the robot drive measurable booking lift in independent properties.

  10. How is CLOi firmware updated?

Over-the-air, staged through RobotLAB’s test environment before pushing to customer fleets. Quarterly major releases, with security patches as needed.
