The Gausium Vacuum 40 is a compact commercial robotic vacuum cleaner engineered for indoor spaces with mixed flooring. Unlike a wet floor scrubber, it is a dry-cleaning machine that combines three jobs in one unit: vacuuming, sweeping, and dust-mopping. It can vacuum and sweep carpet simultaneously, then automatically switch to sweeping and dry-mopping when it crosses onto hard floors. Gausium positions it specifically as an ideal fit for hotels with narrow corridor aisles and carpet-tile flooring, which is exactly the layout where most robotic scrubbers struggle.
Cleaning power comes from a 24 kPa suction motor paired with an anti-static, high-elasticity roller brush that reaches deep into carpet fibers without damaging them, plus three carpet modes (light, medium, deep) to match different pile heights. A medical-grade H13 HEPA filter captures fine dust, allergens, and pathogens as it works, and an optional multi-purpose diffuser kit can add air purification, humidification, or aroma diffusion to the cleaning pass. Navigation is handled by LiDAR, a 3D depth camera, and an RGB camera with SLAM-based real-time mapping, so the robot identifies floor types on its own, switches modes accordingly, and reroutes around people and obstacles.
RobotLAB sells, leases, RaaS-subscribes, deploys, trains staff on, and services the Vacuum 40 nationwide. With a 60 Ah lithium iron phosphate battery delivering up to 3 hours of vacuuming (or up to 18 hours in dust-mopping mode), a 12 L (3 gal) dust bag, and an optional self-charging dock, it is built for unattended overnight and back-of-house cleaning routines in hospitality, offices, retail, healthcare, and education.

This is the Vacuum 40's home turf. Hotels combine carpeted guest corridors, carpet-tile transitions, and hard-floor lobbies and back-of-house areas — and the corridors are narrow. The Vacuum 40 needs only 800 mm (31.5 in) of pass width, automatically detects carpet versus hard floor and switches cleaning modes, and runs near-silently overnight so it never disturbs guests. Three carpet pile modes and an anti-static roller brush keep guest-floor carpets looking fresh, while H13 HEPA filtration improves indoor air quality in enclosed corridors.
Open-plan offices, meeting rooms, and mixed carpet/hard-floor common areas are well suited to a single machine that vacuums carpet and dust-mops hard floors in one pass. Scheduled overnight or early-morning runs keep workspaces clean without daytime disruption, and the Gausium mobile app lets facilities teams monitor and dispatch the robot remotely. The optional diffuser kit can humidify or scent shared spaces during the cleaning cycle.
Shopping centers, clinics, schools, and universities all run mixed flooring across large indoor footprints. The Vacuum 40's theoretical 2,300 m²/h (24,757 ft²/h) coverage and zero-distance edge cleaning with side brushes handle high-traffic floors and wall edges, while medical-grade H13 HEPA filtration is a meaningful advantage in healthcare and education settings where allergen and particulate control matters. The optional charging dock supports autonomous, repeatable cleaning routes with minimal staff involvement.

It is a compact commercial robotic vacuum cleaner that does three jobs in one machine: vacuuming, sweeping, and dust-mopping. It vacuums and sweeps carpet at the same time, then automatically switches to sweeping and dry-mopping on hard floors. It is purpose-built for indoor spaces with mixed flooring and narrow aisles, such as hotel corridors, offices, retail, healthcare, and schools. It is a dry-cleaning robot — not a wet floor scrubber.
It has a 720 mm / 28 in cleaning width, 24 kPa suction, a medical-grade H13 HEPA filter, and a 12 L (3 gal) dust bag. A 60 Ah lithium iron phosphate battery delivers up to 3 hours of vacuuming (up to 18 hours in dust-mopping mode) and recharges in about 2.5 hours. Theoretical coverage is up to 2,300 m²/h (24,757 ft²/h); practical coverage is 400-800 m²/h. It navigates with LiDAR, a 3D depth camera, and an RGB camera, weighs 91 kg, and needs only 800 mm (31.5 in) of pass width.

Both are commercial vacuum robots aimed at carpet-heavy environments like hotels and offices. The Whiz is lighter, lower-cost (RobotLAB $25,000), and runs on BrainOS with a 4 L dust bag. The Gausium Vacuum 40 is a heavier-duty 3-in-1 unit: it adds sweeping and dry-mopping for hard floors, has a much larger 12 L dust bag, stronger 24 kPa suction, three carpet pile modes, and an optional air-quality diffuser kit. If you only need carpet vacuuming on a budget, the Whiz fits; if you need a single machine to handle mixed carpet and hard floors with HEPA air quality, the Vacuum 40 is the stronger choice.
It is best for hotels with narrow carpeted corridors and carpet-tile flooring — the exact scenario Gausium designed it around — as well as offices, retail centers, clinics, and schools with mixed flooring. Facilities that want one robot to vacuum carpet and dust-mop hard floors, run unattended overnight, and improve indoor air quality with H13 HEPA filtration get the most value.
Yes. It uses 3D cameras to identify the floor type underneath it and switches cleaning modes on its own — vacuuming and sweeping on carpet, sweeping and dry-mopping on hard floors. It offers three carpet modes (light, medium, deep) for different pile heights and uses an anti-static roller brush that digs into carpet fibers without damaging them. It handles high- and low-pile carpet, concrete, stone, vinyl, tile, epoxy, and hardwood.
