The CUBELETS Twenty Kit from Modular Robotics is a hands-on introduction to robotics built around 20 magnetic robot blocks. Each Cubelet is a self-contained cube that performs one job — it either SENSES the environment, THINKS about the information, or ACTS on it. Snap at least one of each together and you have a working robot. Because the blocks connect magnetically and carry their own logic, students can build an enormous variety of robots in seconds with no programming, no wiring, and no computer needed to get started. RobotLAB supplies the Twenty Kit nationwide to schools, libraries, makerspaces, and STEM programs.
The Twenty Kit is the largest of the single-set Cubelets starter kits, bridging the gap between a small home set and a full classroom pack. Its mix of SENSE blocks (Knob, Brightness, Distance, Temperature), THINK blocks (Inverse, Minimum, Maximum, Battery, Passive, Blocker), and ACT blocks (Drive, Rotate, Speaker, Flashlight, Bar Graph) gives builders enough variety to explore cause-and-effect, sensors, and emergent behavior without the cost or footprint of a multi-group classroom set. Included Brick Adapters let Cubelets connect to LEGO bricks, and a rechargeable Battery Cubelet plus USB charging cable keep the kit running.
As a reseller and integrator, RobotLAB sells, leases, and RaaS-subscribes the Twenty Kit and can bundle it with curriculum, training, and ongoing support. Pricing is quote-based — contact RobotLAB for current availability, volume pricing, and lease or subscription options. Note that Modular Robotics has been migrating its lineup toward newer Bluetooth-equipped packs, so RobotLAB can advise on whether the Twenty Kit or a current-generation Cubelets pack best fits your program.

The Twenty Kit drops students straight into robotics concepts — sensors, logic, and actuators — without the friction of typing code. Teachers use it to teach cause-and-effect, design thinking, and computational thinking from as early as Pre-K through middle school. Because robots come together in seconds, lessons stay focused on experimentation rather than setup, and the SENSE-THINK-ACT model gives students a concrete mental framework for how all robots work.
Twenty blocks is enough variety for an engaging drop-in or small-group station at a library, children's museum, or makerspace. There is nothing to install and no screen required, so staff can run open-ended build sessions and STEM camps with minimal prep. The magnetic, tool-free design makes it safe and approachable for mixed-age groups of curious builders.
The tactile, magnetic blocks and immediate physical feedback make Cubelets well suited to special-education and early-childhood settings. Learners build and see results instantly — a Distance sensor that makes the robot back away, a Brightness sensor that drives toward light — reinforcing concepts through direct, multisensory interaction rather than abstract instruction.
Same-day response. We handle delivery, on-site setup, staff training, and ongoing service nationwide.
No. Every Cubelet is pre-programmed for a single job — sensing, thinking, or acting — and they snap together magnetically. Students build working robots with no programming, no wiring, and no screen. Coding is optional and only enters the picture with Bluetooth-equipped packs and the free Cubelets apps. Questions on what your program needs? Call 1-87-RobotLAB.
The Twenty Kit has 20 blocks for more variety and more complex builds, while the Twelve Kit has 12 blocks. One key distinction: the Twelve Kit includes a Bluetooth Cubelet for app-based coding and updates, whereas the standard Twenty Kit does not. RobotLAB can help you choose based on your age group and whether you want coding. Call 1-87-RobotLAB.
Cubelets are designed for builders as young as 4, and the Twenty Kit's curriculum spans Pre-K through 12th grade, with grades 2-8 being a common sweet spot. The tactile, no-code design also works well for early learners and special-education settings. For grade-level guidance, call 1-87-RobotLAB.
RobotLAB lists the Twenty Kit as quote-based (price on request). Because Modular Robotics has been transitioning its lineup, availability and pricing change — contact RobotLAB for current pricing, volume discounts, and lease or RaaS subscription options. Call 1-87-RobotLAB.
Yes. For a whole class, RobotLAB also offers larger Cubelets classroom packs (such as the Motivated Maker and Clever Constructors packs) that support multiple student groups. As an integrator, RobotLAB can bundle curriculum, training, and ongoing support with any configuration. Call 1-87-RobotLAB to scope a classroom rollout.
Yes. The Twenty Kit includes Brick Adapters that let Cubelets connect to standard LEGO-style bricks, so students can combine robotic blocks with their existing builds. For details on compatibility, call 1-87-RobotLAB.
